Sunday, May 20, 2007there seem to be a trend going on in this blogging world...it seems like everyone is redefining the definition of "friends" who's not happy with who, who loves who to bits,etc etc etc... well... today... tk's gonna give u his own version of the definition of "friends" ahem... Longman dictionary defines "friends" as : someone who u like very much n like to spend time with... well... www.dictionary.com defines "friends" as : A person whom one knows, likes, and trusts... And then... Wikipedia defines "friends" as : dunno... [was searching for it... i've got the comedy friends, fisherman's friend, friend to friend (some computer terms) etc...] as for tk's definition... tk defines "friends" as... i can tahan ur nonsense, u can tahan my nonsense, (n oso lets make use of each other in times of needs) we're friends... sounds very naive... well... basically... i hang around with ppl who can joke la... u will see tt i dun hang out with those who have no sense of humour or very xiao qi pple... i want pple who are very da qi pple to be my friends... simply becos... i'm a big time sore loser myself, (can be quite xiao qi sometimes) so i dun wan any pple in my environment to compete with my attitudde problem... n tt explains why i dun take part in competition (e.g sports day) tt i've got no confidence in... the only competition i got into so far was MIAKE's SYF la... tts becos... No. 1 : i've got no choice but to go... No. 2 : its a sure win competition for MIAKEians :P (ok this sounds too cocky for comfort, sorry) well... all these explains the pple tt i hang around with... tze kiat n leong: (never been too serious before... even if it is, the serious business is none of mine business ha) TX: (i can tahan his nonsense, so far... i certainly hope he can tahan mine... lol) jun long n jas : (simple, we are all of the same kind... MIAKEians {now we're officially known as MIAAKEians}) my secondary sch's hao xiong dis... (becos they are all very nonsense n da qi) LiLi Tan n company : (i certainly hope they have not gone mad becos of me... espeically LiLi Tan, who has been putting up with all the nonsense i throw over... feel kinda guilty now... haha) well... i think tt friends from the schooling years are the best of all... in the entire existence of this lifetime... therefore friends are utmost important :) in buddhist teachings, shakyamuni buddha states tt having good friends to advance together will attain enlightenment "all the way" (sorry to non-buddhist here... this is wat i found today) anyway... to those who are hypocritical... pretend to be good friends to u... but actually hate u to the core... we should avoid these kind of pple... as one day... they will turn to back-stabbers, or will make use u to accomplish things tt are... bad... or rather... nothing good for own self... must be ruthless to these kind of pple... if not the innocents will be at the loosing end... tts it for now... until then... tk's quote of the day : " we all have a choice " Labels: May 2007 series, May series
