today is the much await SD Kenshu...(well... obviously its over now)
all the comrades had a wonder time having fun, learning, shouting, etc...
i once said tt i will never put on contact lens again right?
well...
for the sake of the skit...
i put them on again today...
the amazing thing is...
this time i only took around 3 mins to get tt plastic to stick to my eye...
(if only i could take my eye balls out n put the plastics in... just like mad eye moody ha)
well...
bascially the whole event was rather a successful one...
good weather at Senja,
Comrades at high spirit,
knowledge acquired,
caught up with some old comrades tt didn't manage to meet up for a very long time...

i have to say i really hated yesterday (29/12)
not for any particular reason...
but i hated myself for wasting 5 hours doing nothing...

becos i was reflecting last night...
and i realised tt i could have done alot alot alot alot more things rather than sitting at Westmall KFC and "meditate" for hours!
the worse part is...
i wasn't even angry for tt...
guess yesterday must have been a really brainless day for me :(

so "interesting" tt i can't help but share with u pple...
as u all may have already know...
my grandparents lived just beside my apartment...
so whatever commotion tts happen over at my place or their place will be known...
today's (26/12) afternoon...
around 1345 hr...
my grandma received a call from "my brother"...
this "brother" of mine was crying over the phone...
claiming tt he's been beaten and locked up...
(this "brother" of mine addressed my grandma as "ah ma", just like how we addressed her)
my grandma sounded panicked,
and was screaming on the receiver (sounded so panicked tt i can clearly hear it over at my side)
as u all noe...
i'm the nosy type...
什么事情都要加一脚下去 (chap ji ka lor ke)
so i went over to my grandparents place...
by now...
my grandpa had already taken over the receiver...
and began asking questions...
but this "brother" of mine is having amnesia...
tt he've forgotten the name of mine grandpa,
father and uncles...
so it turn out tt "my brother" is actually a scam...
a scam to cheat old pple of their CPF etc and other forms of savings...
of course nothing is wrong with my brother...
in fact...
he's happily working in TM (Tampines Mall)
BEWARE OF SUCH SYNDICATES TT NOT ONLY SCARES THE HELL OUT OF U BUT CHEATS ALL THE $$$ FROM U!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i have personally encountered such occasion not once, but twice...
its some women with a China accent, who repeated trying to convince tt i have won myself a prize based on a lucky draw by buying electronic products...
the women was apparently reading scripts, telling me to collect prize from Hong kong, sometimes Malacca, sometimes Genting...
May these syndicates be crack down once and for all...

Happy Boxing Day to everyone too!
i was told tt boxing day isn't a day for u to box each other
(oh man~)
but just another festival which is only widely celebrated in US(?)
but who cares...
i'm on holiday anyway
(haha)
today went to Ichiban Sushi Restaurant (a restaurant which my mom works in)
for lunch...
i had a mini steamboat,
tt is being contained by paper...
this "special" paper is waterproof and doesn't catch fire
(can u believe it?)
well...
its call...
"Ka Ni Na Bae"
well...
i dunno what's the exact spelling for it...
but it really sounds like scolding ur father...
before we went,
my mom was asking me if i wanna have "Ka Ni Na Bae"
for the meal...
i told her...
"No, i wanna eat Ka Ni Na Bu (some vulgarity tt scolds ur mother)"
luckily she today mood good, didn't scold me, but laugh it off...
my mom had yet another mini steamboat,
this time in a small metal (i think) pot...
its called "Suki Yaki"
yup MIAKE played the song "Suki Yaki" before...
the song's nice...
well...
for this special mini steamboat...
one of the "dish" is one raw egg on the bowl...
(and some raw beef of course)
according my sister's internet research,
"The raw egg is NOT SUPPOSED to be poured into the soup"
this, i supposed is the correct way of eating...
instead of pouring the egg to the soup right from the beginning of ur meal...
well...
this raw egg is supposed to be consumed as a form of...
Sauce (for the beef i supposed)
yes u got me right (if my info is correct)
may sound disgusting...
but hey...
we Asians eat ANYTHING...
we Chinese eat EVERYTHING...
take a pig for example...
the ang mohs of some other races may just take the shoulder butt,
the ribs (maybe) or anyway where its meaty...
the Malays, on the other hand doesn't touch the animal at all (becos they consider pigs dirty in Islamic laws)
but we Chinese have delicacies from...
the pig's ass,
the pig's brain,
the pig's tail,
the pig's skin,
the pig's tongue,
the pig's intestines,
the pig's stomach,
the pig's legs (pig trotters),
the pig's heart,
the pig's kidney,
even the pig's blood can be consumed...
so...
i'm not surprised tt the Japanese uses raw egg for Sauce...
(some pple even use raw egg white for facial)
FOOD,
i will say...
its a form of a beautiful universal language...
(besides football and art)

though i have got nothing to do with the festival,
but the fun got receiving presents' fun :)
anyway...
today went to Jayla's band's concert...
the performance was...
overall okie...
(though leong's been complaining tt phantom of the opera's not good enough)
as for the phantom of the opera pieces,
i nearly fell asleep during the performance (zZz...)
both Leong and me chipped in to buy her a sunflower...
its the first time i buy flower (and perhaps the last time ba) for a gal sia...
she better rear it well...
(if not i'll make her breathe like Hydraulics, just like how Darth Vadar breathes hahaha)
after the performance...
me and leong went town...
wow...
its pple mountain pple sea over there...
i seriously dun understand why those ang mohs will want to come to SG to celebrate Christmas.
no (real) Christmas trees,
no rain deers,
no (real) Santa Claus,
no (domestic used) chimneys,
no snow (lots of rain though) etc...
just wat the hell are they thinking man...
btw...
tze kiat's coming back from Taiwan...
Rubin too, coming back from London soon...
Bryan's coming out for Christmas...

u all may have noticed tt there's an increase in cab fare...
the rise is with regards to rising fuel charges...
here's the "increment" in the cab fare...
City Area Surcharge: up from $1 to $3, effective 5pm and midnight from Mondays to Saturdays.
Late Night Surcharge: up from the staggered 10% to 50% current one, to the flat 50% extra for rides between 12 midnight to 5.59am daily.
The fun part is, this 50% more at midnight deal was the original plan before going staggered. Neither solved the problem of disappearing cabs at 11pm to 11.59pm.
And if you think the silly $3 City Area surcharge is going to solve things, good luck to you. And also, what about the disappearing cabs OUTSIDE the CBD?
Peak Period Surcharge: up from the $2 flat fee now in effect between 7am and 9.30am on weekdays and 5pm to 8pm from Mondays to Saturdays, to 35% of the metered fare.
And the company says, a detailed breakdown of this extra "premium fare" will be shown on each receipt "to ensure transparency".
Why is it called a premium fare? Does the cab become a first-class cabin at those surcharge hours? Does the driver speak nicer to you? If anything, the surcharges are not premium fares, but just punishment fares.
Flag down fare: up by 30 cents from $2.50 to $2.80 for the first kilometre.
Distance fare: up from 10-cent jumps to 20-cent jumps.
Waiting time: up from 10 cents per 25 seconds to 20 cents per 45 seconds.
Only the prime time booking fee is going down from $4 to $3.50.
So if you call for a cab from the city, at 8pm on a Friday night, you are going to pay $10.30 even before the cab moves off ($3 City Area surcharge, $2.80 flag down, $3.50 call charge, $1 or 35% of metered fare for Peak Period surcharge).
If you happen to be in the city on a weekday, only 8.5 hours of your day is surcharge-less.
Between 5pm to the next morning from Monday to Saturday, you only have a four hour window, 8.01pm to 11.59pm, where you don't get charged an extra % of your metered fare.

as u all can see...
the increase in fuel cost literally means burning a hole in ur wallet/pockets...
personally i think tt the increase is daylight robbery...
no doubt it will increase the no. of taxis/cabs during peak hours (as more drivers arrive out of nowhere to work ma...) at certain "high demand" areas...
HOWEVER...
isn't tt increase in the no. of drivers abit overboard?
as in...
too many drivers appear at one time?
an increase in drivers does not mean an increase in passengers...
in fact there's a decrease in the no. of passengers...
a surge in taxis appearing on roads means tt there will be more vehicles on the road...
more vehicles means its more likely to cause traffic accidents (u noe how some taxi drivers/other motorist drives right)
even if we look at a more optimistic point of view...
more taxis on the road may not cause traffic accidents...
it will result in traffic JAMS...
this will give excuses for relative authorities to increase ERP charges at sensitive (areas prone to jammed up during peak hours) areas...
a switch to public transports may seem to solve the problem...
BUT...
who says public transports won't rise bus/MRT fares again?
get ur own vehicle?
may seem to be the way out...
but wat if every Singaporeans think tt way?
Singapore's PIE will share the same identity as Thailand roads (JAMMED)

causing the water to splash and hit my leg...

aKe BBQ is tml...
or rather, in about....
15 hours time...
i soooo wanted to go for the aKe BBQ...
however...
dunno which idiot who came up with the idea of having water bomb games at BBQ...
i mean...
wats so fun about water games... at a condo?
playing at a BBQ just makes it dumber...
(unless u tell me the BBQ fire feeds on water to burn)
becos of the stupid, idiotic idea of playing water games at BBQ...
it really makes me think over a trillion (a numerical value bigger than billions) times whether i should turn up for the event...
i have to go...
to show support to the yr1s,
who planned this whole thing,
to be able meet up with those long gone ex-members of aKe (perhaps),
to catch up with the current bunch of yr 3s,
and to eat food (like duh~)

today was the last performance i can ever perform for aKe...
its at Singapore Poly Convention Auditorium...
hmmmz...
just wanna keep the looooooong story short...
(becos i need to wake up early tml to go Malaysia :) )
the moment of performance is stressful...
even though the role i played in this performance is redundant...
played some “有的没有的” role...
but becos this is my last performance...
i wanted the whole thing to be 101% perfect
i personally wanted a 2000% perfection for my own performance...
well...
the result is...
i think i can only achieved a mere 95% (way off my target :S) success rate...
the feeling of stress today reminds me of my first performance as a MIAKEAN...
tt time i'm sooooo damn bloddy scare becos...
its my first time performing a musical instrument...
hence the feeling was really stressful....
and that begins the journey of really enjoying the performance and practices...
without any stress...
(even SYF 2007 wasn't as stress as today)
as for now...
the same kind of stress re-appear to me...
but this time...
i enjoy every single moment of it...
i may sound sicko...
but the feeling was really great...
the stress for ideal perfection...

even though i purposely went for a hair cut (just for today), which i intended not to initially (so tt can go NS get cheapo hair cut :P)

i feel so 帅 (or rather i really am)
