i suddenly feel like reciting chinese poetry...
(i'm not into literature kinda person, in fact, i hate literature {apology to all literature fanatics here})
maybe becos today is a special day...
today is the August the 15th on the lunar calender...
which means today is 中秋节...
history states tt today is the day Ming dynasty founding emperor 朱元璋[why his ancestor created such surname tt sounded like pig (猪）? ] revolt against the Mongolians tt has been ruling China for.... years?
he unites all Hans in China through the passing of notes in moon-cakes tt states the time where the rebellion starts...
people in the 21st century hardly had anything inside moon-cakes...
other than lotus seed (or watever seed inside) or egg yolk...
[no paper note :( ]
well... anyway...
the few poems i kinda like reciting will be
苏轼's 水调歌头,
岳飞's 满江红...

well... the teacher as us to write out the whole thing as dictation...
which i didn't bother to learn...
so dunno how to write...
but very creative friend of mine wrote something which made the teacher 哭笑不得
he wrote :

the teacher is happy tt the way he create a poem with 7 words per phrase, which each ending word to sound a similar pitch (i was told tt these factors are essential for creating a 唐诗)
wat the teacher is angry/sad will be...
my friend has insulted 文天祥's noble phrase...
well...
not all...
at tt time... there is yet another version of this kind of poem/phrase which is somewhat similar with my friend's (the 大便纸 part la)

anyway...
i was told tt 唐诗 and 宋词 are different in a way tt...
宋词 does not have a standard system...
the phrase just goes all over the place...
it does not have the rhythm like wat 唐诗 have...
here's one 唐诗 for example...
its 孟浩然's 春晓...
春眠 不觉晓，its a 5 words and only 4 lines...
处处闻啼鸟，
夜来风雨声，
花落之多少。
as compared to the 宋词...
which is like all over the place...
hahaha...

the whole concert was really fun!
as for me...
i was dragged down for welcoming party the very last minute
(i wonder why i kana so many last minute call ups... hmmmz...)
so didn't really get to see the first part of the show...
anyway...
wish kiat n leong to be there...
they were at SD concert last year...
n they were enjoying themselves totally...
BY MOCKING AT THE EMCEE'S PRONUNCIATION OF WORDS...
zZz...
this time the emcee's wee yong...
he's so much better than last year's emcee...
(at least won't get mocked by them... if they were there)
after the whole concert...
ASD was being asked to gather...
to wish xuan you all the best...
cos he's going to UK on wednesday for 4 years...
(study in imperial college leh.... dun pray pray)

i dunno wat i was doing...
but somehow...
someone asked me... (dunno was it mark or teck qiang)
"hey... why u dun seem to look stress at all huh?"
at this point...
my bubble of "highness" and "care freeness" suddenly burst...
if i'm not stress...
does it mean tt i am still not in the exam condition?
am i taking things too easily?

she nags at those who didn't do hw...
everyone here knows tt nagging is unproductive, redundant, useless (who will listen to it anyway), not to mention, time wasting...
usually she cannot finish watever she wanted to teach...
part of the reason is becos she's been singing these kind of "broken down radio lullaby"
which i will say irritates me a lot...
i mean...
if they dun do work then continue going through the work...
why bother wasting time talking sense into them?
i'm sure they (those who didn't do work) know the consequences of not doing work wad...
so i draw circles in the air gesture, trying to tell her to carry on (ya i noe its kinda rude)
becos she shows no sign of stopping...

i dunno why...
seriously...
i think everyone are just like me...
stoning at daytime can be quite cool huh...
well...
was supposed to be doing hw...
(a day after the gruesome prelims... u gonna be kidding me)
but here i was, sitting in front of the com...
n watching cartoons (tt will be one piece)
and spying on other pple's friendster...
hahaha...
well...
i was looking at friendster...
while i came across some of my old buddies from my secondary school...
my my my...
they are already different parts of society, doing their own things...
the days tt we had spent together (as a class) just somehow seem to be yesterday...
for those who didn't noe anything about my secondary school...
well... i just going to tell a small part of my secondary school story...
for those who knew my story...
well... read it again...
who knows, maybe i'm going to come out with a next "how well do u know about tk" quiz...
lets see... where should i start...
ok... after secondary 2's "streaming exams"
been posted to 3N1... which is supposed to be the better of the 2 normal academic classes in beatty secondary school...
we took 7 subjects...
the usual big 5 (English, Mother Tongue, E-Maths, Sub-Science, combined humanities)
DnT/Art
and of course...
POA (Principles of Accountings)
the other class (3N2) took the first 6 subjects...
(which means they didn't take accounts)
n the next difference will be the combined humanities part...
my class takes elective Geography, while the other class took history...
i really really really love history...
especially the part whereby how empires and dynasties were built in the past...
highest achievement i have ever got was to score full marks in my sec 2's history test...
haha... (none of my friends ever believe tt i can score for such a dust collecting subject)
well... becos i wanted to be in a better class, i have to cruelly forsake my love (of history) and pursue a subject tt i dun really enjoy (geography)
which requires u to traces rivers, tributaries on the map using strings...
identify mountain terrains by drawing cross sections...
bla bla bla...
(zZz...)
as for accounts...
well... i liked accounts at sec 3...
the teacher was the best teacher ever...
taught really well...
gotten an A for accounts before :)
my sec 3 life was...
fun...
becos guys wore long pants already...
so we will go around disturb those sec 1s and 2s...
cutting queue during recesses...
skipping lessons...
or in short... creating trouble for the teachers la...
as for me...
the not so naughty one...
will not go to the extent of doing all the bad things...
but simply love to stand outside the class...
as punishment of course...
the teachers have no desire to punish me...
but i will purposely create trouble to be sent out of class...
there's an incident which i remembered mentioned before in the previous blog...
tt half the class was sent outside the class for being late for English lesson...
the teacher knows tt we purposely wanted to be sent out of the class to avoid her zZz monster summoning lessons... (boring till fall asleep la)
so... she stood at the doorway and conduct her lessons...
in the end...
those who are outside the class cannot sleep...
those who were in the class (the guai kias) fell asleep...

this is soooooo unfair...
another incident was...
yet the English lessons again...
this time...
we tampered with the power socket...
becos we knew she's gonna use the OHP for her lessons...
she spent time changing OHPs after OHPs...
but in the end...
she's still be able to conduct her lessons...

getting first in the level isn't a glory thing to do in our class...
even though we are the "better class"
the top few in the level will be from our class kinda thing...
these top few will be...
laughed at...
being mocked at...
in short...
kana ostracised by the whole class... :D
as for me...
i ranked 41/42 in class at the end of sec 3...
was regard as the "achiever" (lol)
ok now jump year to year of taking O level results...
only 4 of us in the whole of 5N cohort made it to A level education (as u can see i'm one of them la) the rest go poly, ITE, and some even go Society University to "study"
now i'm in MI...
is a totally different place...
everyday is a fighting day...
everyday i have to struggle internally to battle with the zZz monster...
have to deal with class politics...
not to mention the ever Free Of Charge homeworks tt the teachers are giving...
however...
i still managed to enjoy my life thoroughly in MI...
in JC, they say year 1 is the year of honeymoon...
well... in MI...
year 1 is the year of paradise...
the thought of failing exams NEVER came into our heads...
tts how relaxing it is...
those sec school friend who went poly now are working, repaying debts to the country (NSing)
those who are in ITE are now in poly and start to look down on pple like me who have yet to make his mark yet...
as for me...
well... currently facing a hurdle tt seems quite impossible to cross...
i must win...

when i was on the train...

while i heard this song many times before...
this very song instantly just transfer m to daydream mood...
reminds me of the pre-milk run days...
hahaha...

actually...
we ASD took part in milk run's mass dance...

(only that's in English version... and up to now i still dunno the name of tt English song)

becos everything seems to be the same... (except the voice n the lyrics of the song)
other than the milk run...

n it turn out really fine as well...
as i was told the audience really enjoyed it...

was really encouraged by a piece of paper tt de qiang n the ASD had given...
i can just imagine the wonderful things they share during last night's ASD meeting...
i cannot go as...
i have to attend an "important" leaders meeting...
(which some how i dun find it important at all)
the whole leaders meeting is all about...
activities updates...
figures (as in numbers)...
numbers...

% increases...
how much more should we do/go to achieve the target...
what did they do to achieve such wonderful results...
etc etc etc...

propagation is important for the sake of their happiness...

its an encouragement tt Sensei gave to one of the members which i find it very meaningful...
there is this indian member java who happens to be very very poor...
he met Sensei one day, n complained to him how poor he is, how he wished to be rich...
Sensei replied, " U want alot of money? What will you do with all these money?"
immediately...
this member starts to think of what he will do with all the money...
however...
he sensed tt Sensei's question wasn't tt shallow...
so he didn't answer him...
Sensei continued, " if u ask me for a knife, i might give it to you. But what will you do with it?"
"will u use it to hurt someone? or hurt yourself?"
"or will u use it to carve an ordinary piece of wood into a piece of artwork (in this case an image of a Buddha) ? "

the basic purpose of having money is to exchange for things. the true purpose of having money, to exchange for things..... to help that somebody who needs those things, in order to save a life...

but if it is not used for its true purpose...

wow... whoever has the most no. of nuclear bombs, or watever chemical bombs there are...
people's gonna listen to u...
take a look at North Korea...
by announcing tt they will reuse their nuclear facilities,
the whole world...
china, japan, south Korea, Russia n USA, plus perhaps the rest of EU...
get so upset over it...
n approve sanctions...
begging the north Korean government to go back to the 6 party talks...
n eventually exchange oil, money n food just for the promise to shut those reactors down...
so...
does this mean tt having nuclear bombs, or WMD makes u the king feared by many?
well... after looking at the picture of the famous "mushroom" clouds on the skies of Japan during WWII, i was quite convinced tt having WMDs will give me power u noe...
this cloud of smoke n dust is taken an hour after one of the atomic bomb is being dropped in Japan...this pictures...
just like any other history books...
show case the might of the atomic bomb...
that ended WWII (or what they call the WWII equaliser for the allies )
however...
what some/most of the history books failed to show...
is the aftermath of Hiroshima and Nagasaki is...
to a small extent... censored...
Fat-man Atomic Bomb... Dropped on 9/8/1945 at Nagasaki, killing at least 70,000 Japanese CIVILIANS
Little Boy Atomic Bomb... Dropped on 6/8/1945 at Hiroshima, killing around 140,000 CIVILIANS...thanks to these 2 big bombs...

a part of Hiroshima...the bomb side will cause the land to be barren for the next 100 years...

this photo is one of the few "decent" ones which i've found over the net...there are some that's so badly bombed tt it doesn't look like a body of a human being...
this mother and child are both victims of the second atomic bomb...
the source which i took from states that the baby was infected by the radiation (if the baby have been victimised by the blast, it won't look like this) tt it does not have even the strength to suck milk from the mother...
the baby died 10 days later after this photo's taken...
i dunno what to say for this picture...scary huh...
all i can say is...
War is cruel...

the time i spent is...

i spent more than an hour completing 3 questions...

n i spend the next 2 hours sleeping...
even though i had a good sleep last night...
