this is my 200th entry since 1st April... 2007 i think...
:D

我感冒了
不是普通的病, 而是一种连 Tamiflu 都治不好的感冒
因为这两年来吹的韩风,让我也有了这个“韩流疯” :D

那我感染了哪种韩流病呢?

是 SNSD (So Nyuh Shi Dae), 少女时代!

她们可是一群超正,超辣的女生团体la...

对了
就是她们!
they are... (from left to right)
Jessica,
TaeYeon (the leader of the group),
HyoYeon (good at dancing, but i dun like her),
Yuri,
SeoHyun,
Yoona (whether long hair or short hair oso pretty lol),
SooYoung (this one i like :X),
Sunny (cute, but i dun like oso),
and...
Tiffany

shui hor???

hehehe...

not only are they pretty,
they sure sing very well (hence they are not 花瓶)
and not to mention...
they sure know how to dance!
i've watched some of the videos of them dancing...

but this is one which i find it really amazing...

its so amazing tt it took my breath away...
yes i wasn't exaggerating...

(sorry wee yong bro, this entry jus doesn't make ur day huh)

and after looking at such wonderful dance...
of course i will do a little more "research"
i.e...
find more video clips to watch...
find some pics of them...
find their songs to listen...

and...

i found the song "Sorry Sorry" which they sing...
(yes its originated from super junior's)
the version i heard its in Jazz...
which has a whole new feeling compared to Super Junior's R&B/ Hip Hop (or whichever it is, i can't differentiate which is which) version...

here's the "Sorry Sorry" dance, SNSD version ;)

after watching these clips then i realised they are from the same show, its jus been cut into parts in youtube...

but nevertheless...
they're that damn good :)
jus watching those dance can prevent me from dozing off in front of the computer...
hahaha

(to wee yong: yes... i can understand u've enough of SNSD, but since u can't beat it, why not join it :D and if u think tts impossible, then jus leave it as it is hahaha)

虽然我还没到一个走火入魔的境界,但我觉得快要达到无可救药的地步了...
Argghhhhhh hahahaha!

:D

14 more days (exactly 2 weeks left to the ultimate status, ORD)
this is ORD personal CPL (NS) TTK...
signing off :D

Yes...
i'm back since saturday...
jus resting at home all these while...
for those who are wondering where have i been...
well...

i went thailand :D

to keep track of the entire trip...
i actually kept a journal on wat i did over there...
pictures were oso taken over there...
some of them are not with me...

so here goes...

21/9 (Day 0 )
before i go to the airport, (which is in the east) i went to Chervons (which is in the west) and attend wee yong's birthday party...
its nice to see lots of ASDians and exASDians over there
enjoy all of their company and laughter even though its so short...
managed to make it to the airport on time after the cutting of the cake.
the flight tt me and the rest of the guys took was Thai Airways...
IT SUXs!
No personnel tv at the back of the seat - _ -
No pretty air stewardess as well - _ -
the whole journey is a very bumpy ride, i wonder why...

22/9 (Day 1)
we managed to reach Sai Yok camp (the camp where SAF troopers accommodate during the whole thailand trip)
its very big
and its looks more like a kampung to me than a military camp, with the CO of the camp look like 村长 and the rest look like villagers... lol
there are Ah guas in camp...
i did a research on Sai Yok itself, and knew there's a "pretty girl" called Jenny over there...
well...
indeed there's a Jenny, BUT "SHE" NOT PRETTY AT ALL!!!
she's ah gua....
one of the ugliest ah gua i ever seen... (Believe me, Changi V's ah gua will look nicer)
this Jenny works in the camp's canteen, selling food.
we were told tt we will find all the ah guas very pretty after we come back from out field...
o.0 !!!
i hope not...
Sai Yok Camp's canteen is the only source of entertainment tt the troopers will have apart from the officers/spec mess
there's a LAN & internet shop over there, (tts why i managed to contact some of my friends through MSN during the thailand trip)
the first canteen break i spent in Sai Yok Camp cost me 520B (around SGD 22) as i buy t shirts, make name tags, go on internet etc...

23/9 (Day 2)
Singaporeans are really something...
its only one night and we managed to choke up almost all the toilet cubicles tt is in our bunks area...
i was jus wondering...
if SAF can afford to contribute money to build better bunks, (the new bunks tt we slept are made of concrete instead of wooden long house) then why can't they contribute a little more on the sewage? get bigger pipes and the problem of choking will solve wad...
basically today is oso another admin day where we draw out equipments, unpack from the container box and pack ready for out field...

24/9 (Day 3)
we were doing the revision on how to operate our essential equipments for out field...
i dun understand somethings...
if the equipment doesn't work, and trainers cannot remedy the problem...
why bring them to out field?
angry me...
the glass door at my bunk is very fragile, one of us accidently kicked the door, and the whole piece jus drop like tt... he's been stitched up and no need to go out field for the rest of the thailand phrase... "lucky" him...

25/9 (Day 4)
today is the day tt we move out of camp for Navex (Navigation Exercise)
the purpose of the navex is to climatise the troopers and to let the troopers familiarise thailand's terrain...
as september is Thailand's moonsoon season, lots of rainfall is expected...
Thailand's terrain is jus as bad as Brunei's...
lots of dirt track,
foot path tt doesn't exist on the map...
on the map may indicates a major road, but on the actual ground looks like a very rundown track...
the rain really demoralise everybody, including me...
so its going to be long walking, heavy load, heavy rain...
how much worse can it gets?
wat have i done to deserve this?
there's this one incident tt i remember...
there's this low lying area...
its supposed to be a dirt path there...
but becos it raining doggies and pussies...
the path turned into a stream! at knee level somemore...
we still need to cross over it... - _ -

26/9 (Day 5)
Its a Saturday...
but i dun feel like the weekend mood...
its jus walking, walking, and more walking...
the rain is erally pissing me off (yes... i'm starting to hate raining days)
i was the slowest guy in the team, and they all need to wait for me to catch up before the team proceeds...
i feel tt the whole navex is more of a punishment session than a climatise session for me...
the MGR (Map Grid Reference) for the checkpoint is given wrongly, around 5 teams were stucked at the same point for more than 3 hours... SMLJ!?!?!?
wat i like about thailand is the the currency value...
its so small (compared to singapore dollar) tt i feel "like a king" over there...
now i noe why thailand's ousted prime minister Thaksin has been "immortalised" by the red shirts...
tml is live firing exercise :)

27/9 (Day 6)
today is jungle lane live firing...
i find it very interesting, becos the realisim is there...
there's no concrete wall or sigificant markings to mark out different lanes...
there's no foxhole, no sand bag...
totally enjoyed the shoot...
totally enjoyed the sound of bullets recoil...
however there's a problem with the training management...
if the live firing can be finished earlier...
then why need to drag till evening?
its sunny day all the way...
but evening it rain again :(
this period's rainfall contributes 90% of the country's annual rainfall...
i bought a super powerful laser pointer around 800B (SGD 30)
i hope its the cheapest around lor...

28/9 (Day 7)
today its more on admin...
preparation for the 7 days out field...
it will be done by "heli insertion" (its a military term to describe travel by a military helicopter)
the heilcopter we're going to use is UN-1H, the predecessor of Super Puma Helicopter,
and its a no door helicopter (o.0 )
i hope its safe...

29/9 (Day 8)
today is out field... :(
the (only) fun part of it will be the heli insertion by RTA (Royal Thai Army)'s UH-1H
my csm told us how opertional these helis are, with the presence of bullet holes...
it sounded like its some kind of flying coffins to us...
well...
it didn't look as bad as it seems...
in fact...
i had a great time sitting on it, admire the scenery around it...

***i so wanted to post pic on this post, but i dunno whether its my internet or my com, it jus take a bloody fucking long time to upload, so i decided not to load any***

well...
after we landed, we need to walk to our place of deployment... which is around 5km away from our LS (landing Site)
but...
we managed to found a "taxi" to fetch us there with the price of 100B (SGD 4) per Singaporean :D
coming to Thailand (out field) requires nothing more but $$$ hahaha...
becos...
we didn't go to find those ninja trucks, they come to find us...
and managed to find us... (even when we're in tactical mood)
the ninja truck really haunt us... the vehicle destroyed the natural vegetation around our site, making it hard for us to find camouflage to blend with the surrounding...
i stress again here tt Thailand out field need alot of money to be happy... i only bought 500B out...
(which i regretted later part of the out field)

30/09 (Day 9)
stupid HQ ppl, didn't program our comms set properly...
now we're on our own, with no contact with the HQ ppl :(
throughout the night, "enemy convoys" are spotted from our positions...
but we cannot send our "discovery" back to inform HQ :(

01/10 (Day 10)
Happy Children Day!!
Not a good day over in the jungle...
it jus keep raining like nobody's business :(
its only day 3 of out field... but i jus can't stand it anymore...
details of the out field is deem classified...
besides...
nothing interesting to tell anyway...
BUT...
i STRESS for the 3rd time...
$$$ can really do wonders here...
the woman "taxi" driver who drove us to our location is offering to help us dig our 2 men trench (at chest level deep) at 1500 B (SGD 63+)

o.0

now i can finally understood the meaning of “有钱能使鬼推磨”

a note to all SAF troops going to Thailand for out field training...
a typical 3 day in the jungle needs around 1000 B (SGD 42+) to feel like king in the jungle :D
HOWEVER...
$$$ cannot buy good weather...
i'm starting to hate raining days >:(

02/10 (Day 11)
Day 4 of out field...
i didn't noe wat happened in the day...
becos i stayed in the trench for like more than 5 hours...
its been the longest i've been so far...
the average time i stayed in the trench back at home is only 2 hours...

03/10 (Day 12)
Day 5 of out field...
its pretty demoralising to hear other teams are getting out of jungle earlier...
one day less of rain,
one day less of mud,
one day less of irritating insects,
one day less of boredom...
during the day its hot, i long for cloudy weather...
during the night when its cold n wet, i long for the sun and warm...
i guess the grass is always greener on the other side...
i realised its mid authum festival only at night when the moon light up the night...
with the ultra (not to mention unusal) 100% moonlight, its hard to fall asleep at night...
becos its so bright...
after tml... i will be out of jungle... :)
38 days to ORD

04/10 (Day 13)
SBDL!!!
i kana screwed by warrent up, down, left, right, centre, front, back...
his concept is quite different from the other instructors...
:(
how to achieve anything if there's so many different school of thought, in one school?
:(((

05/10 (Day 14)
Extricate from jungle back to camp again by UH-1H again :D
its jus as exciting as my first ride :D
back in camp...
the name tags i ordered in the first day is ready :)
left with the powerful laser pointer...

06/10 (Day 15)
nothing to do basically...
its jus resting and packing up...

07/10 (Day 16)
its the graduation ceremony today...
saw some really nice pictures and videos taken since day 1 of the course...
is somewhat excited about the E tour tml...
have been saving the bulk of my Thai Baht for my Thailand shopping spree...
at night i've been raided by RTM (Royal Thai Mosquitoes)
my hands are being "polka dott fied " x.x

08/10 (Day 17)
its the E tour today...
went to the Death Railway today...
it looks damn fragile as its "hand made"
pictures were taken, its on facebook
didn'te went to the shopping mall today becos one vehicle broke down...
took damn long to continue the journey...
SIAN!

09/10 (Day 18)
last day staying in camp...
i will somehow miss the place...
but surely i won't wanna come back again...
went to the floating market for day 2 of the E tour...
by the time we reached the market, its around 9am...
vendors tt sells grocery went back home liao...
so didn't get to see the "real market"
tried out the duck noodles there, its fantastic :)
one of the girls over there actually came to us to ask for our phone no.
(第一次被搭讪的感觉真的很奇怪)
to all the (Singaporean) guys who are single (like me) fret not...
big fishes are away from home... hahaha!
last part of the E tour is actually shopping at a mega mall near the airport,
didn't buy much stuff at previous shopping place, so i did some last minute shopping there..
bought some Manchester United merchandise over there...

its home sweet home after tt...

my brother told me while helping me with my luggage at the void deck...
he told me on the 6th, someone in my block committed suicide...
jumped down from the highest floor (10th storey) after chopping off the little finger from his hand...
the grass patch at "ground zero" still got the shape of the body there...
:S

thank u for reading this entry... i noe its fucking long...

have a nice day...
:D
