today, SSA (Singapore Soka Association) celebrated the formation of Young Men's Division (YMD), whichis officially formed by our late Second SGI president Josei Toda on the 11/7/1951 in Japan...
as at 2007, this is the 56th anniversary...
i'm so motivated to strive for the better of myself after...
in a form of...
wat can we do for the sake of human kind,
wat can we do for humanity,
wat can we do to attain absolute happiness,
wat can we do for society, etc...
after hearing all this,
our YMD chief, Leonard oso tell a total of 834 young men in the "Gratitude Hall" (in a particular hall of our building at Senja, CCK)
he quote from our mentor's guidance, some 20 years ago... saying tt 21st century is the age of the youth, 21 st century is the age of the women.
if those who studied management, they will discover tt there has been a shift in managing of pple...
from the method Commanding & Control...
to present day's Mentoring n Coaching...
in short, from the 强硬派 to a more 温和派...
it means... women are taking over the world...
but chief doesn't mean tt young men have to fight with women for power n authority,
neither do he mean tt now tt the women have emerged to take up leadership... young men can sit back, relax, n "enjoy the show".
but to continue to be in the front line of the organisation campaign...
(the rest of the speech is about propagation of Buddhism so on...)
of course i must answer to my mentor n chief's call...
to really excel in our own fields...
to give back to society...
to help those who are not as fortunate as us to receive any education, by helping them with the best ability we can possibly have...
in order to do this...
the first thing is to study hard for A levels...
get into University...
after graduation... will be the start of my contributions back to society...
we are told not to be blinded by greed when we are climbing up society's ladder...
or else... we'll fail...
we'll fail right to the bottom of the foundation tt we've build up...
therefore... now i'm really motivated...
i went passed this bridal studio...
saw a few wedding gown n this particular photo, with one fella wearing the "square hat" (or watever u all call tt) for university gradution...
i stare at tt studio for 10 secs... n was telling myself...
1.) i want my Miss Singapore University Wife to wear the most beautiful wedding gown ever existed....

2.) i want to have a photo shot with my family, wearing tt "square hat"
I MUST DO IT!!!!!!!!!

These 3 Japanese are Soka Gakkai's 3 founding president...1.) Tsunesaburo Makiguchi Sensei, founder of Soka, died in prison in 1944 (i think) as a POW for opposing the Japanese Militarist government for waging war in Asia, and the refusal to bow to Shintoism (the national religion at tt time, which "worships the sun" n symbolises war)

2.) Josei Toda Sensei was released from prison around 1945 (i think)... rebuild the organisation, build up a foundation for the organisation by converting more than 750k households to Nichiren Buddhism (religion of Soka) single handedly was his mission. He passed away in 1958 due to his deteriorating health conditions after release from prison...
3.) Daisaku Ikeda Sensei fulfilled his mentor's (Josei Toda) wish to propagate the religion worldwide. he has done so, up to today, there are over 190 countries practising Nichiren Buddhism. he... is oso the mentor i've been telling u all about... He's 78 years old this year... :)
there are a lot more stories about him...

today...

is kinda like a surprise after i heard about it...
today is the birthday of 3 pple!!!!!

for Simin, well... they spend last saturday to eat steamboat at 镇发活海鲜...
that day just nice got NDP rehearsal, so we got to see fireworks over there, while having those steamboats :)
well... i didn't expect jun long n the gang to celebrate Simin's birthday there...
i join them for steamboat is becos...
my mom's not cooking tt night...
n...
i'm very lazy to do it myself hehe...
anyway...

clearing of HWs...
to make my day even busier...
i've arranged for a Home Visit today...
hehe...
well...
home visit is an event tt Soka practices since its formation decades ago...
it involves leaders visiting the believers' place to check out the conditions tt he/she had to go through in order to practice buddhism at home...
its oso an event to engage dialogues with them...
bring up their life conditions... (yes, we have 10 worlds, or 10 life conditions)
to encourage them to challenge their day to day problems...
strengthen their belief in Buddhist practices...
or can even be just a catching up of last meetings...
or...
something like tt...
(not as detailed as it sounds but, i'm still trying...)

time to report to "u" on the particular school facilities i've used since the very first time i drop by at MI Bukit Batok Campus for 1st AKE practice there...
well...
i got to use...
AKE room, Harmonis of course...
The hall (whether for PE, assembly, performance, or even exams)
Biology lab (for 2 chem practicals, even though i didn't get to cut open anything)
Chemistry lab (for tt few practicals before SPA)
Classrooms (for lessons of course)
Container classrooms (for lessons of course)
Center Stage (for assembly, performance, mass lecture)
Library (revision, siam lessons, air con place)
Computer labs (lessons, play with the com la)
Canteen (eat, relax, even studied there)
School Toilets (do business of course, big n small ones)
School Handicap Toilets (do business lor)
Basket Ball court (PE lor)
Track (PE lor)
The Lift (lazy to climb up n down ma)
Dance Room (for Malay lessons)
And so on...
i didn't get to use
the field, (will get to use it soon i guess)
Art Gallery,
Principal Office,
Staff room,
Sick Bay,
Girls toilet, (ok maybe this one doesn't count)
n....
Drama room.
i will try my best to use the remaining facilities in my remaining days in MI, although some venues are out of bounds for students....
hahaha...

the Indoor Stadium is almost full with all the audiences...
on the other side...
the NDP rehearsal was a great success too... (as heard from my friend)
i was wrong tt 7/7's NDP rehearsal's not going to have any fireworks...
becos it really did...
school reopens tml...
its like back to the gruesome reality...

the happy thing tt happened this morning will be...
tt FUCKER tt ran away came back...

another thing to look forward to will be 7/7
initially wanted to take a friend to indoor stadium to watch the celebrate one...

those tickets are soooo highly demanded tt the world is looking for it...
secondly is of course my friend not free on tt day...
wat i've gotten with me now will be...
a pair of tickets to watch NDP instead...

the problem for this will be...

we had lots of fun over there...
a pity i can't take any photos over there...
becos...
how to run when u're holding a camera?
anyway...
there was this STOMP event before the race...
whereby those STOMPERS get pails n shakers to perform some rhythm beats la...
the result was... very nice...
so during the race... i joined those STOMPERS to take a stick n pail n run together, not to mention making hell lot of noise there...
the race for competitive runners' about 8 km...
while the community run's about 4 km run...
the venue is around the Singapore river...
when everything is over...
at around 6pm...
i saw someone (or rather something) tt freak the hell out of me...
i saw a 人妖 coming over to look for "her" bf...
i nearly puked at the sight of tt freak ok...
still having those "tramas" after seeing tt freak now...
lol...
something happened back home recently...
remember the "Fuckers" i had at home?
well...
lets just say tt one of them act out Prison Break 3.5
IT ESCAPED FROM ITS CAGE!!!
The worse part is...
NOT ONCE BUT THRICE!!!!!!!!!!!
