Friday, August 10, 2007hmmmz...actually today i just feel like blogging today... so here i am... :D hmmmz... i intended to share one joke with u all... but i just cannot find where i left it... but then... i found this story tt i find it quite meaningful... so i decided to share this instead... :) here goes... A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20.00 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?" Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of youbut first, let me do this.He proceeded to crumple up the $20 dollar bill. He then asked, "Who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the air. Well, he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on the groundand started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. "Now, who still wants it?"Still the hands went into the air. "My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson..." "No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted itbecause it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20." "Many times in our lives,we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirtby the decisions we make andthe circumstances that come our way." "We feel as though we are worthless.But no matter what has happened orwhat will happen, you will never lose your value." " remember: amateurs built the ark ..professionals built the Titanic." well... what do u all think about tt? wanna know my very very first thought after reading this story? well... the first thing tt came to my mind was... "so... is our lives worth/comparable to tt $20 or what?!?!?!" my reflections for the last part... "Professionals have failed... Cos the Titanic has SUNK!!!" tt fella who wrote the story used the wrong quote... :D anyway... just enjoy the story... :) Labels: August 2007 series
