Sunday, September 28, 2008I'm back from Brunei!!!FINALLY!!! the 3 weeks in Brunei is... unbearable... hellish conditions... one moment the temperature is above 33 degrees, the next moment is heavy downpour... got sick very easily... the dense jungle in Brunei makes me appreciate Tekong & Marsiling jungle more... from previous entries u guys should noe tt i hate jungle to the core... especially when i need to go outfield every 2 weeks since posted to Battalion... so now if i ever go to tekong jungle again, it will be a piece of log cake for me :) (jus re calling the Brunei jungle really makes me sick) all army pple says... u'll need to climb Mount Biang in order to say proudly say u've been to brunei Mount Biang is a hill around 1300 ft + high... well... i didnt climb Biang... becos... I'M INJURED! had a pretty bad sprain on my left ankle while attempting to go down a slope... the sprain made me instant handicapped fella... (becos its so bad tt i can't walk) this sprain gives me 10 days MC till the 2nd October First time reported sick in my entire army life... (9 months soldier with 8 months of injury free record) i wanted to tell the whole training trip as detailed as possible... but alot of things cannot be disclosed (so openly) well... lets talk about other things... i'm off till 2nd october! not the MC off, but its the off indue, for spending 3 sundays in Brunei... so SAF pay back 3 days... (got 1 day Public Holiday) so total i got 4 days :D i wanna enjoy these 4 days totally... so pls help me fulfill it, but all coming out to merry making (lol) my red beret presentation ceremony has been pushed back to the 12th of November :s having mixed feelings for tt... happy becos tt means i got more time to clear my IPPT nm SOC (which i still have not done so) sad becos still need to endure all the trainee shit, n suffer longer... but i'll perservere!!! so job of my frens will be very simple... just be there for the presentation ceremony (tts if i cleared my IPPT n SOC, lol) so my countdown timer is another +5 days... 39 +5 = 44 days... now tt i've got 4 days of civilian life, will write again :) tk's quote of the day : "For one to survive, one must die"
